Mayor Vilhjalmur Vilhjalmsson  deposited 10 rubles into the first bank account of Norvik Bank new headquarters in Moscow last Friday. Actually the lowest amount for a deposit is Icl.kr. 500.000 but the employees of the bank accepted this amount under the circumstances at the grand opening of the new headquarters.

Early 2006 Straumborg became major owner of Lateko Bank in Latvia, which name was changed into Norvik Bank in Latvia and Russia early 2007.  Employees in Norvik Bank in Moscow are 80 and in Latvia 650.

Norvik Bank in Latvia is growing very fast and the goal is to achieve the same in Russia.
